Hello folks, I am
planning to cover day-by-day updates and my experience in Microsoft's biggest
conference ever. This time, the
conference is happening in Venetian Hotel Las Vegas from March 3rd to 6th. Although, its primary
focus is SharePoint but they will be showcasing various products' features in
MS suite which includes Office 365, Project Online, Yammer, Azure, One Drive just to
name a few.
It surely is multi-cultural and multi-faceted environment out here. People have flown from Asia, Europe,
Australia and all other places in the world just to join the conference and be part
of this event. You could easily identify them among the crowd with big badge and laptop shoulder bag they received during registration :-)
Although registration were open since morning, welcome reception started at 6.00 PM PST. It was great to see all exhibitors showcasing their products in Expo hall. There were a few companies like OPEN TEXT, Skype etc. which I found surprising as I never heard of any integration/collaboration of their products with SharePoint.
The main event will start tomorrow with Bill Clinton's key note at 8.30 am PST. You can watch it online
here.
There were a few
pre-event sessions organized today (Sunday). I chose to join "Visio services -
technical deep dive" as I found this more technical and informative among other available
sessions.
All in all it was a productive day. I am geared up for tomorrow and update this space with more details.
And what's the fun without trying your luck in Vegas. So heading out to
play some blackjack. Wish me luck! :-)
